At Rotator Vinyl, we love a challenge! So when upcoming agitprop post punk art terrorist Meryl Streek and his amazingly cool label Venn Records want to discuss options for a new 7" single, we get very excited! As a nice tie in to the heritage of protest music, I suggested that a Crass style poster sleeve would be a great nod to the past and to Meryl Streek's influences, the idea to produce in three different colours with three different matching sleeves was also a nice way to create something special and unique....
However, the spanner in the works came when the artist was asked by PIL to support them on their UK tour...and it was starting in 6 weeks...and we didn't even have audio yet!
Never ones to shy away from such a major challenge we put the wheels in motion and against all odds and standard turnaround times manage to deliver the job in full a week early.
